CB Rigging have had a very busy weekend.
On Saturday we spent the day at Alton Water in brilliant sunshine and a good breeze, we had approx 25 Teras all eager to get on the water. We concentrated on stopping and holding position on a start line and covered starting. Although a little breezy and the odd capsize all of the children did well.
This following message was sent by Alex which makes the coaching very rewarding.
Both Archie Hainsworth and Josh Davies have won Sailing Scholarships to Royal Hospital School this year - Josie and Issy TJ won them last year. This is a clear recognition of the hard work you have all put into the Eastern Squad. It was great to see how far so many of them have come yesterday (from the back to the front of the fleet). Thanks Alex
On Sunday we attended the Essex Boat Jumble, whilst driving to the venue the rain started and we did think maybe we should stay at home, however the weather man had assured us that it would stay dry, he was right! The Boat Jumble proved very busy with lots of sales and enquiries for new rigging and sailing courses.
Inbetween Alton and the Boat Jumble we have made a complete set of standing rigging for a Westerly, made 2 x 420 spinnaker poles and finished off a Mirror dinghy.
