Craig Bond

Craig Bond is the main man behind this Rigging site having had over 38 years of experience in the mast and spars industry.

He started working for Sailspar as their welder/fabricator, then moved into sales. He has worked for Fox's Rigging on their sales team and eventually joined Z Spars as their Technical Sales Manager. This wealth of experience has consolidated his knowledge of the entire industry allowing Craig the opportunity to run his own business based on the East Coast, in Brightlingsea, Essex. As well as offering advice and technical expertise for yacht and dinghy sailors.

There isn't much that he doesn't know about mast construction and rigging. He has rigging expertise on most boats from dinghies to 60ft yachts, and, as well as working for the above companies, has knowledge on Isomat, Francespar and S & S Spars. He is also a keen sailor who has raced dinghies at a national and international level.

Craig received an award from Tendring District Council in recognition of his support of young people learning to sail. He was awarded Coach of the Year for 2011 and continues to run the cadet section of Brightlingsea Sailing Club as a volunteer. Since Craig has been involved in this group a number of cadets have achieved great goals, becoming National, European and World champions.

Having worked in the Marine Industry for many years, his knowledge of yacht rigging is vast.
